JACQUES CHARLIER Casanova Forever http://www.jacquescharlier.be/2010/09/cfe-clartvision-casanova-in-another-way/ To mark the CASANOVA FOREVER exhibition program, CLArtVision produced more than 30 mini reports, including editing, in the space of 22 days. Given the distances that had to be covered throughout the whole of Languedoc-Roussilon, a quasi impossible undertaking. For this reason some of the exhibits could unfortunately not be considered. However, conditions were such that we were able to compile a documentation, which, given the circumstances, and the fact that for most of the time we were the only observers, is visually unique. However, the constant pressure to which the conditions gave rise, also enabled us to better emphasize the qualities, stencils and format of the works. From the outset we decided to document some scenes incidentally and parallel to the encounters we made there. This way we were able to depict what touched us most deeply about the art we were presented with. As regards his writing, Casanova differentiated hardly at all between the things he related on his journeys. It was with the same light, poetic spirit that we worked both within the art itself and in the comparison with the art, thereby contrasting it with the irreversible and non-transposable power of life.
